Turns out my freckles were sunspots!
I've been slowly fading away acne scars and hyperpigmentation and have been looking to clear my skin tone with Vitamin C. I found this from a recommendation from Dr.Dray on YouTube along with other dermatologists touting it's effectiveness and prepared for the worst of the possible side effects. And so far, it's helped to calm a particularlly aggressive acne scar. A little tip to make the most out of serums is to add your 4-5 drops onto the BACK of your hand, use it as a plate for which you pick up product to apply to your face, and then rub the leftover serum to the backs of your hands. I haven't featured photos of my face because I wanted to showcase only the vitamin C. I WISH I took "before" pictures of my hands because for my 24 years alive, I've always had hand freckles, no matter the season. I've only been using vitamin C, a very basic lotion, and sunscreen on my hands and in about a week, they've faded! I first noticed this on my left hand (yes, the driving hand that gets the most sun) and I'm now working on my right. I have oily/eczema prone skin that's used to using active ingredients like AHAs, retinoids, benzoyl peroxide etc, so I didn't have any reaction to this except for a slight tingle the first few days of use.15% vitamin C may be too high for someone just starting to use active ingredients. I store this in a closed shelf away from sunlight to not degrade the product. I wish it didn't come in a dropper form so that oxygen and possible bacteria don't get into the bottle, for hygiene and also to keep the efficacy.

First off, when I opened the bottle, it hissed like it was a carbonated drink. It also had bubbles on the surface. Then, I smelled it. It smells like something burnt; it's hard to describe. My husband said it smelled like sour, rancid, fermented, old medicine. It was disgusting. And the liquid was already oxidized; it was an amber color. I won't be using this and I can't return it because I had it shipped out of the country and it's past its return date. I paid $28.50 for it, too. It does make me wonder what ingredients are in this product for it to be so off-putting and foul-smelling. Live and learn. If anyone has a Vitamin C serum that they love, please, I'll take any suggestions. Leave a comment below this review. Thank you.
