I don’t put my Brita in the fridge but that’s mostly because I give my dogs Brita water instead of tap water. A lot of other people gave this pitcher bad reviews because it was too big for their fridge. If you’ve had a Brita pitcher before and it fit in the fridge, you should be good to go with this one because it’s not taller than the other pitchers. And if it doesn’t fit in the fridge and you want cold water, I have a very crazy idea on how you can get it…ice. That’s right! Put ice in your water to make it cold. I know, it’s so old school and such a novel idea for some of you but it works. Unfortunately, that will give you one less stupid thing to complain about, but you’ll survive.
The pitcher I bought came wrapped in plastic and was packaged in a box. It was clean, no dents, dings or cracks and also came with a filter. I have no issues with the spout leaking or not letting water out.
My one, small complaint is that it doesn’t have the indicator light on the top to show when the filter needs to be replaced. I honestly didn’t notice that when I purchased it but it’s not that big of a deal. Instead, it went back to old school Brita pitchers and has a sticker to show when the filter should be changed.
I recommend this pitcher for people who have used other Brita pitchers and liked them and who don’t need fancy indicator lights to tell them when to change a filter.

Overall: Good product
In my household of 2-people, we used to use the 10-cup Brita Pitcher for filtering our water. However, we wanted to upgrade.
This 18-cup version was a great upgrade, mostly because of the convenience. We selected the gray version to match our light-accented color patterns and the standard filter to be able to continue using the filters that we've stocked up from the previous Pitcher.
We placed this dispenser in a high counter so we can easily pour water into water cups. To refill it, we use two 1-Liter carafes, which we fill up with tap water and simply pour it into the top side of the dispenser. They seem to be the perfect size since the water doesn't go over the "max" line.
One key detail about using this dispenser is that the manual recommends keeping the filter moist, which means that we keep the water level always above the bottom of the filter height. This typically means that we try to keep the water level at the mid level of the container, or above. Not a big problem. The carafes, or water pitchers, in standby method works for us.
We acquired it for $31. I believe it goes on sale to even lower prices sometimes, but $31 is the typical price I've seen on it. Sometimes it jumps higher. I would also recommend looking at different stores for best sales and value, such as Target.
We would buy this item again and would recommend it to others who have a similar need.

The only thing that is a slight drawback is carrying it to the fridge from the sink. It gets kinda heavy and some handles or notches to hold onto on the sides would be worth the space removed in water capacity for them. I'm worried I'll drop the whole thing by the time I get it set back into the fridge.
Overall, I love it and its a nice alternative for those of us who do not have filtered water dispensers from our fridges.
