I purchased this for my daughters 5th birthday. It is a solid little scooter, glad it can adjust because she is rather tall and will grow out of the lowest setting by next summer. We purchased to take it with us camping because all the kids at campgrounds seem to bring these instead of bicycles. Which, of course, works for me because it saves an immense amount of apace. My fiancé and I have both taken turns on it and he is buying one for himself. He is 6'4" and on the higher setting it works for him. My daughters only issue is the brake. But...she falls walking on flat ground so asking her to use that is like asking her to walk blindfolded. She just can't get it haha. In time I'm sure she will figure it out though! If I didn't have a baby to carry I would buy one for myself too.

Razor is the cool manufacturer of scooters known by nearly all serious scooter "people". It's easy to see why it's made of a light weight strong aluminum frame not the cheap wood scooters, can fold up securely, has a foot brake in the rear which when pressed slowly will work just fine, if slammed down on your child better have pads and a helmet, which they should anyway. It can do wheelies but I haven't shown my 5 year old the trick but there is a wheelie extension in the rear.
My 5 yr. old loves it, really sharp looking. Really nothing to assemble just unfold, hardest thing for us as parents is to get her to wear her protective gear. 5 stars easy

Works fine for my daughter, but very noisy to ride. Rattles a lot (the various aluminum folding components) when riding. Nothing that can be tightened by me is loose, it is just built that way. Makes for a slightly unpleasant experience as it is harder to hear cars and to have a conversation with her. Our neighbor has a non-folding scooter of a different brand and it is completely quiet. Considering how small a scooter is, I would suggest people getting a non-folding scooter unless they really need a folding one as it will probably be more quiet.
Also, my parents have an old Razor scooter they grabbed at a Tag sale years ago and it seems to be built A LOT more solidly. That said, theirs is a "Razor Extreme," so not a good direct comparison to this one, probably. The aluminum on that one is substantially (5x or more, I would say just by looking) thicker than that on this scooter and, even though it is folding, does not rattle like this newer one. The underside of this it sort of a hollow aluminum box and that one is open (not a box) with vertical support braces (perpendicular to the foot platform piece). All is thick aluminum.
This scooter works fine and seems to be plenty solid for my young daughter, but the very loud rattling on even slightly bumpy streets is a big turn-off for me (and even to her -- she was really looking forward to having a two-wheeled scooter after outgrowing her 3-wheeled scooter's weight limit of 45lbs -- and this rattling is making things less fun for her).

This is one of the greatest inventions ever. It is no longer the play toy or the "ride" of your neighborhood. I'm currently a college student, but my age does not stop me from having my share of fun. Razor scooter allows you to travel faster than mere pedestrians and yet portable enough to carry with you onto a bus. After you get off your bus, you can once again conquer the sidewalks with your agility and speed. Plus, if you ride it with your friends, you just formed a very conspicuous scooter gang. It can also be a hook for a nice conversation with a girl who you always wanted to talk to but never had the courage to do so. To make it short, this scooter, without a doubt, is badass.

When we got this the pin was messed up. The mechanism wasn't set up right or something so when we tried to fold and unfold it, it became a huge time consuming ordeal- it was literally broken. We didn't want to go through the process of sending it back. My husband "fixed it" They can still ride it after 5 years, but we've never since that time tried to close it and that has worked for us. If you asked my daughter she would have gien it 5 stars and I guess that's all that matters.

These were Christmas gifts for two 7-year-old girls. They LOVED them - rode them around and around until it was time to fold them up and take them home. These look like solid scooters and I expect will provide the girls with lots of fun and entertainment for a long time to come. They are just the right height for them, but I believe they can use them for a couple of years at least. We purchased some decorative tape to personalize each scooter (they are both purple) and they had fun doing that themselves. Would highly recommend these scooters!
