Works basically as expected (it is a water bottle). Makes the tap water in my house taste better also.
Things I've noted:
-The neck of the bottle is fairly narrow, making it necessary to have some long-handled sponge or brush to clean inside the bottle, but that's hardly a deal breaker. The straw and cap are also pretty easy to clean with one of those pipe cleaner looking brushes.
-I also have a tendency to chew the rubber mouthpiece/straw part of waterbottles, and after having this one for a month or so the straw is still basically like new, so unless you really go to town on it the rubber straw bit seems like it'd last a while.
-The only time the bottle has leaked is when I threw it into a gym bag and accidentally hit the cap button in transit. If you keep it upright on the side of your backpack or whatever I can't really envision that happening too easily.
-When you go to refill the bottle and unscrew the lid/straw, sometimes water gets held in the straw so make sure to wait a few seconds and let any water run out back into the bottle or a sink before taking the lid fully off. If you like to live on the edge, are impatient, or don't care about spilling water on the floor, feel free to disregard this advice.

So the tap water at my office tastes like crap. I drink a lot of water so this is a problem. My old solution was a to schlep a giant 2.5 liter water bottle to work everyday and I got so sick of that. I have no problem drinking tap water, but at the office the taste is just so inignorably bad.

So I bought this. I knew it could filter out a lot but I was skeptical if it could filter out bad taste. Idk what the hell is wrong with my office water that makes it taste so bad, but whatever it is doesn't get through this filter. I no longer have to carry water from home anymore. I keep this bad boy at work and can now happily drink all this crappy tap water I want.

Because of this I no longer have to lug a bunch of water from home each day. This is one of those rare Amazon purchases that has actually improved my everyday life. Best purchase ever

I do not buy water bottle, believe they should only be for natural disasters. So I thought this would be great for the gym and traveling. I love it. Easy to drink from, clean and fill. Rinse the filter place it in the stray and lock the stray onto the lid screw in the lid and your good to go. I throw it in my gym bag, no leak. I will be purchasing another one, 36 oz. I use one for after the pool then will be using the larger one for my other gym. Thank you Brita.

First off, I love the color of this product. I ordered the bright orange color to have it stand out and it brightens my day whenever I see it! I also love knowing if I’m putting in tap water from wherever I am it’ll be getting filtered by the magic powers Brita filters have. Some cons, it does scratch relatively easily. Given I do shove this in and out of my bag and this perhaps makes contact with the zipper closing, I get it. But it does kind of ruin it for me. Also, not too familiar with water bottles with filters but I usually have to suck more than I’m used to on the mouth piece to get the water out. Having a Camelbak in the past I never had this issue, but again it may be due to the filter. Overall a great buy, and it gives me an excuse to drink much more water than ever. I also love the little carrying strap on top, also a bright orange. Very cute, and functional.

It’s so convenient to have in your purse/backpack/car/whatever because you can fill it up at any tap or water fountain and have great, fresh tasting water. I bought one to bring with me to Disney world and it was the best decision ever. This product is easy to use and significantly improves the quality and taste of NYC tap water. I cannot say if the quality is as good as bottled water but it is less expensive when I compare the cost of bottled water to the cost of the replacement filters.
The only issue I have is that the filters do not last as long as advertised. After 3 weeks or so, I do start to notice a slight after taste in the water. That's when I know it's time to replace the filter; which by the way is very easy to do.
The environmental impact should be pretty obvious; For each person that regularly drinks bottled water, how many empty plastic bottles end up in landfills?

The only deterrent I ever noticed was the easy buildup of grime or whatever exactly occurs with the silicone mouthpiece. My easy solution is hot water and baking soda, set for 2-3 hours, and do a thorough rinse afterward. Doesn't leave a bad taste and cleans the bottle out thoroughly. Overall great purchase and I hope you guys take a chance with it, with commonsense this is a great purchase.
