But please, take warning and be thoughtful before you indulge in these. If you know you had an issue with sweets pre-keto, and you notice bags of "empties" in your wastebasket, you are going to have a big problem. These are not an unlimited item. The problems are not limited to extremely slow weight loss. I have binged on these on several occasions and there is severe (not moderate) gas that will accompany any binge. You WILL pay for it if you eat too many. Give yourself a 2 bag max and do it ONLY if your macros will permit it. This means, if you eat two bags of these, you may only have 14 net carbs for the rest of the day.
These also can mess up your blood sugar if you are extremely resistant. If you have had T2 diabetes, please just don't even try them. It's not worth it.
The good news is, they are 3-5 bucks for a tiny bag, so that financial incentive along with your Guideline might be just enough to keep you from overindulging. Me? Not so much. I am probably going to be making my own gummies henceforth. Because I want more than 12 in a sitting and they are fairly easy to make at home. For economy, I order 12 bags at a time. This is not good, because I can't have bags of these around. I will eat them all.
My baby girl loves the fish ones, but these Peach ones are my sister's favorite. They are so good. The ones in the pink bag are my favorite. I am not a huge fan of the powder coating over these. But the peach flavor is intense and delicious.
I gave these five stars because of the innovation behind these treats. I think it is wonderful that people care enough to produce something with less sugar. But, you must eat these with caution, and for me, I probably need to stop ordering them. I get a nasty email at work and go straight for the smart sweets. NOT GOOD. But, they are great if you have a militant little consumption monitor (ie, baby daughter) around that will hide them from you and keeps tabs on your food intake.
In short, I love Keto because it doesn't require me to watch so much Because if you do Keto right you are rarely if ever very hungry. Thus, I will probably not be renewing my subscription. If the inventor of these comes up with a zero carb option, however, I will be back!
Con: it’s extremely expensive for candy. This isn’t just expensive on Amazon- it’s everywhere. I think this is the leafy expensive I’ve seen lately (Walgreens had these for 5.99/ bag 🙄)
Pro: nutritionally this isn’t just a guilt free treat, the fiber content is amazing. Atkins and keto diets are not going to work, but 1.8 ounces of candy is a lot. I don’t even eat the whole bag in 1 sitting (I’m like sugar-aholic that can’t stop with sugar once I had some. Splenda even makes me crave sweets.) If I took my blood sugar, I truly believe it would stay more stable eating this CANDY than eating white bread. I don’t have that sweaty feeling from sugar or a crash.
Consistency is similar to a soft chew instead of a classic gummy bear. I have no idea if these are terrible for your teeth though.
They have a watermelon chew, Swedish fish- (I personally really didn’t like those. Due to the fact they are more costly, I’d recommend trying them from a single bag purchase at a store before hand to see what you like.)
I love the “sour patch kids” knock offs flavor and the peach rings.
Almost forgot/ my 3 year old and 6 year old LOVE them. I bought a box of cookies, a box of cheese its, and welchrs fruit snacks- and all they wanted were my peach rings!
I’m still unsure if that’s a pro or con in my case, but if you were wondering if kids likd them- my 6 year old won’t eat ANY fruits, vegetables- even fruit juice. It’s like buttered noodles. SHE EVEN LIKES THESE! So if you’re more generous with your sugar free candy than me, then I can’t imagine a child more picky than 1 of my daughters, so I’m going to say this is a safe bet.

The “new and improved” version is absolutely garbage. I emailed the company to ask why they made the change and received an answer about extensive research and testing (eye roll). They are hard, sour, sticky and have a foul chemical aftertaste. The new fish shape is cuter, however. I’ll give them credit for that - but I’d take the old shape back any day to have the old formula back. Kind of wondering if they got a cease and desist from the real fish maker.
I got curious and filtered the reviews to most recent to see if anyone else felt the same or if I was alone and truly missing the mark on the “new and improved” version.
It’s slightly comforting to see I’m not alone. I think I’ll send a follow up email to the company to see if they’ve noticed how many people are unhappy with the change. Maybe they’ll go back to the “old and unimproved” version!
Until then, I’ve switched to the Lily’s brand gummy bears. I don’t like them as much, but they are better than Smart Sweets bears and my beloved are now inedible.

The person who said they’re illegal to sell in Australia is right but also wrong. Australia can’t sell anything with Allulose but Amazon US isn’t in Australia. You can still import Allulose and products with Allulose in them from overseas.
