Versatile, simple adjustment for height and angle

Adjustable height, works great as a stand

This works great as a laptop stand and has several adjustable height options. The only issue with adjusting the height is that the higher you set it, then the keyboard/monitor angle on the laptop will change and can be unusable to type on. I have mine set to the highest setting -- 7.5in off the desk on the back end, 1.25in off on the front end. It's lowest height setting would be 2in on the back end; the front end doesn't adjust and remains at 1.25in from the top of the desk to the top edge of the laptop.

I use this to have my laptop's monitor at the same level as my regular monitor in a "dual monitor"-like setup. My laptop is roughly an inch thick and the front "stops" on the stand have kept the laptop from sliding down or out. This stand is durable enough to withstand my heavy/large beast-of-a-laptop. It also provides excellent ventilation around & underneath the laptop to prevent overheating.

Underneath the laptop at its highest setting, was room for me to stash a USB hub and some cords. The back of the stand has these slots in which a small rubber cord organizer/holder slides into, but the organizer constantly popped out so it was useless for me.

Overall, this stand was inexpensive and worth the money.; it serves my needs as expected. (See photos for details.)

FYI -- If you are considering to use this as a lap-desk or tablet stand -- I highly recommend you find something that's more suited/built for that particular purpose. This thing is not comfy to sit on your lap nor on any soft or movable surfaces such as a bed, pillow, or couch. A tablet would more than likely slide down the surface -- through the gap between the front stops (which are almost 8.5in apart). This is a laptop stand & nothing more.

I purchased this to provide better airflow to keep my laptop cooler. Most laptops will overhead because they vent down or need to pull air from under them. If they sit flat on a desktop they can overhead. My only reason for not giving them 5 stars is the very bottom, that would sit on your lap if you were sitting in a chair is hard metal which can get a bit uncomfortable. For the purpose I purchased it, it does a very good job. I'd buy it again.

It's hard to give this anything less than 5 stars.. simply *because* it really is so basic, and simply effective. Very no-frills, not fancy or attractive.. but.. not only is the grill effective at complete ventilation, the metal provides a bit of 'heat sink' action, further drawing heat away from the bottom of my laptop - gaming rig, that does run warm-to-hot if sitting flat on a desk.

The unit has several riser positions, based on where you lock it in. This is where the problem may lie.. The full unit itself, when using the riser bar, is not perfectly flat. Meaning there is a problem with the riser-to-top-surface, with the unit not perfectly aligned. There is a bit of wobble.

However, the top surface is long enough that it also sits squarely and firmly on the back of the unit, without the riser bar. When you do that, the entire unit is perfectly stable and firm. No wobble.

Obviously this may vary due to manufacturing issues, and mine may just need a little firm bending to align properly, but I don't see the need for additional height.

When your laptop is on the unit, assuming not using the riser bar, there is 1" of clearance from the desktop at the front, and approx 3" at the rear. That leave plenty of clearance space beneath the laptop, where you can run some cables to keep a clean appearance.

There are flat rubber feet at the bottom 4 corners, to prevent sliding or marking your desk top.

I was concerned that the front "feet" which keep your laptop from sliding forward, might get in the way of typing, but I almost never touch them. I have a 17" laptop, so it's a little wider, and when I center the laptop on the stand, my typing position never land on those metal feet. Those feet also have rubber stoppers to avoid marking your laptop.

This entire unit is no-frills, but it is effective, provides a good typing position and elevation, and really helps keep ventilation up and temperatures down.

This is a great laptop stand if that is your purchase reason.
I read a few reviews and I think some purchasers bought this for the wrong purpose, so here is my take on it.
This is an ideal stand for desktop usage when one likes a laptop slightly raised in the back or when one uses a separate keyboard/mouse and wants to prop it up higher to have the screen at eye-level. It also ensures the laptop doesn't slide around on the desk.
Pluses
- Sturdy, with pads in the right places.
- It give passive cooling because of the grid.
- highest setting puts screen at eye level, camera at face height.
- keeps laptop in one place for those of us who tend to push and pull it over the course of a day.
- perfect size for 15-inch laptop.

Unboxing, it is lightweight with a rattly metal feel. Set up on the desk, at the highest setting, it is solid and confidence-inspiring. No worries about scratching my painted wood desk or my aluminum Macbook, as there were generous, nicely placed pads on the bottom of the device and on the front tabs.

I think there are better choices if you're specifically looking for a passive cooler on your lap. I would never use this directly on my lap - it's metal! I use the Xpad Slim when I game on my laptop in front of the TV, either in my lap or on a small computer table.

But definitely, if you want to tilt your laptop on a flat surface, this baby does it nicely for under $20. A great buy for the price!

It's built good. I bought in 2018 for my gaming laptop. Isn't that heavy so you can put it on your lap. Playing racing games or even FPS having this on your lap, you won't feel the heat or it's weight.

Just make sure to not lift it with one hand in the center of the base with your laptop on it. I've been doing so for long and one of the hings broke due to that. Putting Fevikwik gel has been working fine. I took these pictures when I fixed it for the second time in the fifth year of it's usage.

Overall it has been one of my best purchases on Amazon so far. ❤️

Además me permite guardar el cargador del portátil y sobrantes de cable en el espacio que queda debajo y así aprovechar el espacio se la mesa. Otra cosa interesante es que incluye unos guíacables que permiten ordenar los cables que llegan al portátil como el del monitor, raton y teclado. Sin duda una opción muy recomendable y a muy buen precio como todos los productos de la marca Amazon básics.

Super sturdy!! I bought a different expensive one prior to this and man o man, it was frustrating. However this one is so strong, it reminds me of the inclined bench at the gym cuz its that strong yet very light weight. It has a holder to fit at the back, so you can organize all the wires and cables by running them through it. Amazing!

I wonder if I should buy 10 of these for the future because this stuff is so good, and we all know how things will get upgraded and replace with something useless.

Seriously for 18 bucks, it looks pretty, does the job, has enough ventilation for the laptops heat, has a strong clamp at the front so the laptop can no way in hell slide down. It is simple and effective, and I dont think anyone would need buy a laptop stand ever again if they bough a bunch of these once as they are going to live at least a 1000 years

Alzatina per pc veramente efficiente, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
Come si può vedere nelle foto che ho allegato vi sono diverse altezze con cui poter regolare il supporto, che si presenta abbastanza solido e leggero.
Esteticamente molto semplice e nella parte finale dove poggia il pc presenta anche dei gommini, come anche nella parte inferiore per non far scivolare l’alzatina.
L’unica pecca è stata che mi è arrivata leggermente incurvata in mezzo.

Variable angles, strong, sturdy, all black, metal. I'm always a little surprised when Amazon come out with these products and they turn out to be decent, and I was again. This is a great stand especially for the price. It covers all the angles I never need it to and it's quite easy to adjust. So what is my complaint? Well, the system that this stand uses to ensure that the laptop doesn't just slide off is a couple of metallic guards at the bottom. My problem with these is that they are quite deep - the protrude well above the thickness of any reasonable laptop. I have a surface book, which is quite thick, and these stick out above that. What does that mean? One thing, in general, means that when you're trying to use the laptop, these little guards dig in to your palms. For me, specifically, I also had the issue that the power button on a Surfacebook is on the top, and the laptop would keep turning off when I closed the lid. I had to manually bend these guards down a little to maintain it's purpose but have less of an effect on me. I get it - this stand is probably not designed to be used while the laptop is on it, it's most just a place to keep your laptop when it's connected to an external monitor, keyboard and mouse. But it wouldn't have taken too much to fix this minor issue. What kind of laptop would need more than a full inch thick guards to ensure the laptop didn't slide off? Anyway, for the price that it is, I can't complaining. It's a minor issue.
