I very seldom leave product reviews, but felt that others should know my mouth feels like I just left the dentist and had my teeth professionally cleaned! I have not been one to floss regularly - but this tool makes it so much easier! My kids have built in retainers and I can only imagine how much of a challenge it is to get the threaders out and floss properly. This product will make it so much easier for them! I have been using for three days and I am getting better at using it. I purchased this model because it is shower safe, and I was concerned about making a mess. However, the water tank only holds 5 oz of water, so I have to refill to get to all of my teeth, so I will not likely be taking in the shower. The larger 7 oz reservoir might be beneficial. It was really not a problem to refill. After I got the hang of it, I was able to do all of the top teeth with one tank, and then all of the bottom teeth with another 5 oz fill, so I don't know if 7 oz would do the trick anyway. I kept my mouth closed and turned on/off to get rid of the excess water in my mouth. It made no mess with my mouth closed. There is a quick release for the tip, so sharing with family members who each have their own tip is very easy to do. I like that this unit does not take up excess counter space. I found out the hard way that some areas were more sensitive to very cold water, so I use cool water now.
I love it! I haven't tried the regular one so I can't compare; I understand this has fewer pressure settings, but that seems minor to me. It works REALLY well with the pressure settings it has, and my teeth feel super clean! I have a slight gap between my two front teeth that I can suck air in through, but sometimes it gets clogged up with food and I know it is because I can't suck air in anymore. Brushing doesn't get it out, but flossing does. Anyway, I can tell for sure that the Waterpik is getting stuff out because it so effectively cleans that gap out. So I'm sure it's doing the same kind of job in the back.
I know that technically you're still supposed to floss with regular dental floss too, but I was always skipping that because it felt like such a chore. This makes it so much faster and easier. Big fan!
I've loving this tooth squirter. I can't believe anyone bothers with floss (actual string). This does a better job more quickly. Once your gums toughen up (which is a good thing, healthwise) you will use it on maximum pressure and it won't hurt a bit. Just build up to that point. The battery life is reasonable, but not a month. Maybe 2 weeks on the brand-X set that came with it. Maybe name-brand batteries are going to last longer. This replaced a cordless rechargeable one for me. That one lasted years, but the contacts corroded on the charge-cable connection. I revived the rechargeable one several times by pouring vinegar onto the contacts and scraping them with a sharp knife, but that lasted only so long. I don't know why they don't make a rechargeable that uses inductive charging (no metal-to-metal contact) like they do for electric toothbrushes. Anyway, the disposable battery solution is fine. I also like the type that connects by hose to the faucet. But for some reason I find myself drawn to the electric. Maybe its the pulsation. I read somewhere that the pulsation is a good thing because it pumps particles out that have gone below the gumline. The nice thing about the hose-connect nonelectric type is the endless stream of water. I like to do it longer than one reservoir full will last, so with this unit I have to stop and refill. Not a big deal. Just takes a second.

No lo he utilizado para viaje pero tiene hasta una bolsita para transportarlo. Te debes acostumbrar a su uso (para que no salga el agua para todos lados).
Gets into the spots that brushing doesn't, with ease. Amazing how much junk it blasts out after brushing.
My dental hygenist commented (who recommended it) that my gums and plaque build up had a marked improvement since my last cleaning...then I told her I'd gone ahead and bought this.
Had it 11 months and something inside the unit failed. Worked one day, not the next.
Went online and filled out the contact us page at Watepik.
Got a response within hours, with advice on cleaning, new batteries etc.
I tried the solutions and still no go.
The helpful, polite rep asked for a serial # and a purchase date/receipt.
Sent that and within a day or so they reply they are shipping me a new one free of any charge.
Was beyond happy with the product, and now with the company and customer service.
I'd buy another of their products in a second.
