    This simple but colorful educational game was a huge hit with my Growing Gamers homeschool co-op class, which has kids from age 4 up through 10. At first I thought it would be too simple for all but the youngest gamers, but I was surprised that all the kids were really drawn to it! They loved the adorable puppies and were intrigued by the weighted numbers. Game play is simple enough that they could play it themselves without any adult help or interaction, which is a big advantage. Even after playing the game by solving the cards, all the kids kept coming back to it and experimenting with it, trying different combinations of numbers or puppies. What a wonderfully playful way to work on number sense! Two of my students - who are 6 and 8 - specifically asked me to bring it again next week. That kind of "review" from the littlest gamers is the best!

    This game is so cute. I have kids in both Preschool and Kindergarten and they love it. I do wish I had bought this game a couple of years ago to help them learn basic counting. They still have fun doing the easier cards but really we only need the more advanced cards. I was amazed to see how accurate the scale is. It really balances out exactly each time even on our carpet. The numbers, 1-10, are all weighted differently with each number being heavier than the last. I love that it teaches mathematics as well as introducing kids to a scale. This is something new and fun that my kids would definitely not have in their playroom otherwise. I would recommend this game for any child who is just learning to count. The only concern I would have is smaller kids possibly choking on the dogs.

    This is such a great game! It's wonderful for preschoolers who are working on number recognition and numbers in general. It really helps them understand the concept of numbers representing an actual amount instead of it being an abstract concept, which can be a challenging lesson for children. There's lots of ways to use this too. My 3 year old daughter and her 9 year old cousin like to play together, her cousin will add multiple number pieces to one side and then my daughter will try and figure out what she put on it by using the puppies. We had no issue with the scale not balancing out correctly like some other users did. It's great that you could use it for a structured game or just for a child to play around with on their own.

    Its easy to grasp the counting game; count out the puppies on one side and put the number on the other side
    to match. We have not used the cards yet. That's a little more advanced and I am sure he will grow into that

It's very tactile, with putting cute little puppies on one side of the scale and numbers on the other.
