Great Option, but . . .

Great Option, but . . .
The only complaint is the glue used by the manufacturer to adhere product info to the outside of the pitcher itself. It couldn't easily be removed, so we used a chemical goo remover, which immediately liquefied the glue, which just as immediately re-solidified. It's left what looks like dripped etching on the pitcher that are impossible to remove. This was VERY frustrating. Otherwise, the pitcher is fantastic and works as expected.

I have used Brita since Brita was first put on the market. I love the pitchers. The water always taste better and is better than out of the tap. To me, it is even better than most bottled waters. We had a Culligan water full house water filtration in our home. No comparison. Seriously. It is important to me that fluoride remains in the water. The in home unit was expensive as you had to buy salt all of the time. If you flushed your toilet it was with softened water...yet it used up salt. Anyhow, we have had the best results with Brita. We stopped using our in home filtration as the taste of the Brita water was superior. Granted the in home softened our water, too, but I much prefer good drinking water. It is so easy to use the Brita. The company stands behind their products. You can trust the name. Obviously, I am sold on this one. We will be customers for life. They earned our loyalty. No regrets on this purchase. Just so you know this product is well made and very durable. The company takes pride in their work and with their customer's satisfaction. I bought the black and I love it. Comes apart for easily cleaning and washes up easily and like new. The filters out last the Zero pitcher for sure. I know that as my daughter in law has one and the filters need changed about every two weeks on hers. That gets expensive.

This pitcher is pretty perfect. It is slim enough to slip right into the fridge without taking up too much room, probably fit into the door compartment of a large fridge pretty well too. It holds a LOT of water!! So I don't have to keep filling and refilling it. That being said, I have to warn those with not so strong arms. It is flat out the heaviest pitcher I have ever picked up when full, because of the fact that it holds so much. So don't get this for grandma, she won't be able to pick it up unless she is an arm wrestling champ. Also, the lid fits snugly, which is great, less chance that it'll spill if you want a glass before the reservoir empties. The negative side to the snug fit though is the design of the part that you grab to pull it off. Your hand may slip and it might take some prying to get the lid off. I gave it five stars because it is exactly what I wanted and I can handle the heaviness and the lid issue. It's a good product, just not for the weak handed.
