Our story

How we got our start
A few years back, three of us co-founders had full-time desk jobs and realized how sedentary our lives became. While there were fitness trackers to track exercise, there was little that helped us be more active throughout the day without disrupting our routine. Thus, Cubii was born.
What makes our product unique
Cubii is a beautiful product with a patented design that’s ergonomic. It’s designed to be low to no impact on joints, so it becomes unconscious. It is the only elliptical that connects to a mobile app, Fitbit, & Apple HealthKit to track, share, & compete, making it a unique community experience.
Why we love what we do
We love how simple Cubii is. It fits into everyday life, at an office desk or home couch. What keeps us going are user impact stories – from working parents balancing work & family, to people with limited mobility looking to revitalize & build muscle strength, Cubii’s opened doors that didn’t exist.

Product Description

Cubii lets you add more strides to your day, burn calories, and boost energy - all while you sit!

Perfect For People Who Need To Get The Blood Circulating

Perfect For People Who Need To Get The Blood Circulating
I know a lot of people think this is going to help them exercise at work, but that isn't what I bought my Cubii Pro for. I've had CFS/Fibro for 25 years. I was simply looking for something I could do while I was sitting to get the circulation flowing throughout my body. I bought the Pro version so I could use an app that syncs with my FitBit.I have two very bad knees and sitting on the couch exercising with this machine hasn't bothered them AT ALL. The first time I used it I was surprised that I really felt it in my inner thighs, but luckily they didn't hurt the next day. Unfortunately, I had to stop using it after the first time as I'm exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 and using the machine even for 15 minutes made my temperature go up more than I cared for it to. I thought getting some exercise would help my body fight the virus, but I guess not. I look forward to using my Cubii Pro as soon as I get that issue straightened out because it's VERY easy to use and as anyone with Fibro knows there is little you can do that doesn't automatically set off your trigger points! In that regard, this seems like the perfect machine to use, at least for me.I love the app - it shows real time exercise - how many cycles, calories burned, etc. as you're doing the exercise. This helps you figure out what resistance you need to use to get the calories you want to burn as you're doing it. When you're done, you simply click the sync button and the exercise is immediately entered into your FitBit dashboard. The machine itself was very easy to set up. You screw in 4 screws that attach the footpads to the base and you're done. Word of caution though, don't expect your grandma to be able to put this together by herself. This is a serious piece of exercise equipment and seems built to last so it's heavy. Now heavy is a relative term. As a 60 year old who has had CFS/Fibro as long as I have and can't take pharmaceutical medications for it my only pain prevention was to move as little as possible. This machine weighs from 25 to 30 pounds so getting it out of the box and moving it around to assemble took some effort. While it has a wonderful, well placed handle to move the item around while you're not using it, if you misstep and the metal part of the machine hits you, it's going to leave a nasty bruise. I use a crutch so my mobility isn't the best. I have to be careful to make sure I'm in a secure position before I move the machine. It's roughly 23 inches front to back and 18 inches side to side and while the handle is perfectly placed, it's still going to be heavy for some people to lift.I saw a lot of reviews that said people bought this as what they thought was an opportunity to do some type of cardio while they were at their desk. This is not at all what I bought it for. I bought it because I'm an older person who needs to keep her circulation flowing, a problem a lot of people have as they get older and less mobile. I'd recommend it for any older person to use for that purpose. Buy it for your aging parents who don't move around a lot, put it somewhere out of the way that they can reach if they swivel their chair around (so they don't have to move the machine itself) and let them go to town. It's very easy on the body and perfect to use if they sit around watching TV all day. It's also good for anyone who sits at the computer all night gaming with a group online. That way you don't have to stop what everyone is doing to get up and walk around. For me, the sturdy build of the machine, the bluetooth connection and the app made it worth the price of the machine, especially for someone with few exercise options. If you love your parents and want to keep them around and they don't seem terribly mobile, this might be a really good option for them as they can do it while they're sitting. As always, consult with their physicians first and make sure you set it up so they can access it without having to move it around (and it's not anywhere they can trip over it). It's definitely worth the effort.

Update ... I ended up giving it to a family member who needed it. The weight is really a downside. They market it as portable, but it really isn't that portable. It's perfect if you are going to leave it in one place and never move it. Of course, now I have a knee injury and need something like this but I am going to purchase a lighter brand ... I feel like 23 pounds (the one I am looking at) is a huge difference compared to over 27#.

This seems to be a very well built machine and is almost completely silent when in use. I wish it was easier to adjust the position of the device and the chair more easily when the wheel locks are in place. It takes a while for me to get the angle on the device, the angle on the chair, and the distance of the chair the way I want it. I sit turned to the left monitor (I have two), so everything needs to be on an angle so my legs are still straight when I use the Cubii. I realize if I switched to a chair without roller wheels it would be easier, but I'm not giving up my super supportive chair. With how heavy it is anyway, I'm surprised they didn't just put a charger in there so you could pedal and charge the device as an alternative to having it plugged in all of the time.

Pros:
-Super easy to put together.
-Very quiet, almost silent.
-the App works fine for me but I wish it included a %battery and not just a visual bar (I like numbers) and an indicator that it is charging.
-addicting to use, maybe too much without working up to it because I think it uses different muscles than my typical walking or workout videos (I am feeling like I am getting shin splints just from 0.5 miles and today is the first day using it) from using it on and off while surfing the internet for an hour.
Cons:
-Very heavy, especially when you consider you will be moving it around underneath a desk, which makes it difficult to use proper body mechanics. However, the heaviness does help keep it in place, so not a total con.
-I had hoped to move this to other rooms when doing different activities, but I am afraid it's staying right where it is.
-The port where the micro USB goes in does not seem to be that well made, compared to the rest of the Cubii. it is somewhat difficult to plug in the micro USB and makes me never want to unplug it again either ... I'll unplug the USB adapter from the power when needed rather than crawl under my desk with a flashlight to unplug and plug it in.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent piece of equipment to help burn calories almost without noticing.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 11, 2018
The media could not be loaded.
I got this a week ago and am totally sold on it as a way to increase my activities and burn calories when I wouldn't otherwise be exercising.

The Cubii is small, discreet, has a smooth motion and is pretty much silent, which is a huge advantage in an office. You position it under your desk and it's right there at your feet so it almost obliges you to use it when you sit at your desk (unlike home fitness equipment that sits forlornly in a corner waiting to be used). The motion feels very natural, and being elliptical you don't have the problem of knees hitting the underside of your desk.

I have used it for four days and was able to pedal for 5-6 hours a day without feeling tired. It has eight resistance settings so you can spend time building up week by week.
The video shows the elliptical motion, while the chart image, from my Fitbit (with which it integrates), shows a typical day before Cubii (left) and using Cubii (right). You can see the difference in activity very clearly. This difference means a lot more calorie burn while sitting at my desk. In fact I've tracked calorie burn with an HRM/Fitdigits and it suggests I could be burning 4-5x more calories an hour with this compared with sitting. During the time I have been using it my work has not been disrupted. Phone calls, reading, typing etc all quite normal.
The app is good and I'm sure will have new features added. There is a global ranking and challenges to keep you motivated. I found it was quite easy to do 16 Cubii km a day to get into the global top-5 rankings.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this as it's significantly increasing my activity time during the day. I mix Cubii with a 5km walk at lunchtime plus walks to and from the office, which is a good balance. It's easy to be active for 5+ hours a day with this and you can't say that about most fitness equipment, so I think it's a very good investment compared to a spinning bike, rower etc that will take up precious space at home. With the Cubii you just put it under your desk, out of everyone's way, and start pedalling.

3.0 out of 5 stars Eingeschränktes Feierabendvergnügen vor dem Computer
Reviewed in Germany on March 12, 2018
