I like this little dispenser because ti fits in the palm of my hand with its convenient, adjustable strap. I do long walks in the park early. Sometimes people have their dogs off the leash and once and awhile there may be some rudeness here and there. In any case [short of a bear] I feel like I can temporarily distract or immobilize a threat until I can make a clean exit.

I bought this for my girl friend for her dog walks, sometimes stray dogs get to aggressive and our German shepherd would tear the dog apart if it got close, the spray was used to deter one dog affectively. Its easy to carry with the strap and hardly noticeable. that being said, its small and doesn't contain much more than maybe one and half uses. Most pepper sprays are single use anyways. The spray came out mostly as a stream but had some mist to cover a larger area. Its a must for her and her dog walks.

I got these because I live in the city and sometimes have to go walking at night. I was in my work's break room and was digging around in my bag for something and accidentally set it off (fortunately not into my face).
