Update 1 - Currently on day 35 on the original charge and the battery is down to 12%. Step count appears to be accurate but distance calculation is way off. I surmised that stride length was calculated by height so I adjusted my height from my actual (6') to 4'8" and the distance is now spot on. Found a watch face that has the info laid out the way I want so the watch is a definite keeper.
Update - 3 1st year in and I still really like the watch. Can average 35 days of charge (I have a lot of stuff turned off of course)
Update - I'm not sure what I was doing wrong or what changed, but my Amazfit now counts steps when I use my elliptical and ski machine - great news! Also, the heart rate indicator also seems amazingly accurate - I've compared it a few times to an actual pulse count, and it's right on. One last note - Amazfit decided to change the name of their phone app to "Zepp" (what?? why??). I noticed "Zepp" on my phone and uninstalled it immediately - thinking it was some sort of spam or phish. Well, the notifications to the watch ceased, of course, and I had to reinstall it and set it up again - it would have been nice to have some warning! All in all, I'm still happy with the watch. Art
Pros: -battery life is amazing! It warns you that it fluctuates depending on the features you use but i use almost all of them and i go about a week between charges.
-all the information is much more details than i had expected. I love the pai score system and really enjoy the way it tracks my activity
-it’s really fun to change your display and customize your watch and the display is amazing looking
-the tracking it’s incredibly accurate. Even on the treadmill you can be extremely accurate with your workout which is super helpful if you love working out inside
Cons: - the GPS I’d you workout outside can be a little wonky and take up to a couple minutes to find you and start tracking.
-you have to pretty much refresh your app at least once a day to get it to sync to your watch if you want it to display everything like the weather, or for your watch to store the data in the app.
-i never could get my texts/iMessages yo come through to my watch. It claims to have this capability and it’s an option in the app but it’s never worked for me. I can get pretty much every other alert except messages. Doesn’t bother me much though cuz i bought it for the fitness but still.
-can’t control the music once you start your workout
Over all I love it and highly recommend.
