Donginbi red ginseng moisture and balancing softener : This is a gel textured facial toner. You're gonna wanna use it underneath your serums, moisturizers and/or emulsions. Facial toners bring your ph back to optimal levels after cleansing, and help remove leftover dirt & impurities that your cleanser may have left behind.

Now I gotta compliment this really cool and HEAVY bottle! It's such a neat looking & unique design, and the bottle is hefty.

Donginbi is a winner in my book. I feel really good about using their anti aging red ginseng Korean skincare line. Their 1899 essence is top notch, and so is this toner. The scent is very different from what I'm used to. It reminds me of plants 🤷 I would assume that's the red ginseng. It begins fading after a moment. And is unnoticed after a few minutes. I see that my skin immediately has more of a glow when I use this. I can't wait to see what this does for my skin in the long run 💞

I’m super conflicted. I don’t know much about the order of K-beauty ingredients list, because it’s not the same as the US order. So I thought that alcohol being listed in the first few on the list wouldn’t be a problem, especially since the other ingredients look amazing. Boy, was I wrong. It’s very drying! It dries up within the first few seconds of applying! I can’t even smooth it over to other parts of my face without it drying up, so it’s like 4-5 pumps each routine. I looked at other ingredients list of this brand’s other items, and there are products where alcohol is listed in the last few. I would not recommend this for people with sensitive skin and/or dry skin, or if you’re using multiple actives in your routine. I have oily skin and it was still drying after application. But here’s where I’m conflicted - it makes my skin feel super soft after applying the rest of my routine and I do see my face being brighter. EDIT: If used, I would suggest spraying on a hydrating mist beforehand so that it can spread easily.

This is a toner/smoother in a clear gel form. When applied it’s very cooling. It dries very smooth with no stickiness or pulling. It makes my face look rested and refreshed. There is not enough of a moisturizing effect for me do I do apply a day cream over this. The ginseng scent is very distinctive and true. A very earthy fragrance. My state grows a ton of ginseng and smelling this is like walking in a farmers market. Overall a solid product, does what it says it will do.

This DONGINBI Red Ginseng toner is a really nice, refreshing product that helps my skin to feel soft, even and refreshed before applying moisturizer.

The toner has an interesting scent, and reminds me a bit of radishes! While it seems a bit odd at first, the scent smells very natural and fresh, and I'm sire it is due to the ginseng content. Once applied to my face, it helps my skin to feel cool, smooth and calmed. I did not notice a lot of moisture from this product, but I don't think that is usually the end result of a toner.

The bottle is pretty impressive in its large capacity, and it is made of extremely heavy material, which feels both expensive and luxurious. This is definitely not your standard run of the mill plastic bottle.

I do recommend this toner to you!

i love mists/toners/skin softeners as the first step in my skincare routine and this one is really good! it preps my skin for serum and moisturizer and i’ve noticed my skin looking better ever since i started using it. it definitely does more than regular rose water. the bottle is pretty big so even though it’s pricier than most it’s worth it to me. this is for sure one of the better skin softeners i’ve used and i really recommend trying this if your wallet can spare it. i have sensitive skin and i didn’t find it irritating at all. it absorbs well and doesn’t leave my face shiny or greasy. i’m definitely purchasing this when i run out and will recommend it to my friends, that’s how much i love it!

Before i write this review. I tried it first for a week and i cant take the alcohol feel on my face and it’s drying. I was surprised, i was not the only one complaining about the alcohol on it. I’m not really sure about these good reviews. Don’t recommend at all!!
