Blocks under door drafts, unit stays put, doesn't get in the way of door opening or closing

I didn't think this thing would work very well, and fortunately was proven wrong. It comes with 8 sliced "pool noodles" that you can further cut to match your door width. We have a door that's used often, is old and odd sized and has a 3/4 gab at the bottom that is very drafty in the Winter here in Minnesota. Replacing the door due to it's weird size is not a possibility at the moment so we were stuck with the gap and worn out rubber "blades" I've installed in the past. The rubber blades always wore (3rd set and stopped putting them on) out and loudly "scrapped" the floor and due to the blade holder being metal had to be screwed onto the wood door, and always had gaps on both sides (i.e. never sealed tightly). This unit you cut to fit with easy to follow instructions, and so far has worked flawlessly. We don't use it for the "noise blocking" capability so I have no idea how well or not that works. It does close the gap in our door so I'm assuming any noise coming through the gap would be blocked well.

It was able to cancel out most noise but wasn't a complete coverage due to the sizing. There is still a very small 1/2 inch gap under my doorway which allows some sound to pass through.

I really love this product. It was not so easy to install but once I figured it out, it fit perfectly!
I was very pleased with the product and it was a great price! The only drawback is opening and closing my door has made it stretch so it doesn't fit tight anymore. I don't think is going to fit tightly, for very long.
That is disappointing. To bad they didn't make the fabric a little stronger so it would stretch so much.
Try it for yourself, you might love it, but it didn't meet my expectations.

My door is roughly 30 inches wide.

The pictures on the product listing page do not look anything like the product that I purchased and received - they should do a better job of providing realistic pictures.

I followed the provided instructions...see attached. Very simple. Measure door, cut foam, tape foam together, push foam into sleeve, fold slack, slide it all under the door.

They then want you to "tuck the corners" to make it "neater" but whoever wrote that was not on the same page as the design team...

Not impressed with the look of it. Even if my door was wider.

Also - the "noise cancellation" is...sub-par.

To be frank, I don't even want to deal with the hassle of the return process.

If you have a 30 inch door and are looking for something CHEAP and dont care about weird, clunky aesthetics...then go for it. It seems to work as intended.

Otherwise...spend your money elsewhere (or - something I neglected - get one that is closer to the same length as my door's width).

I recently purchased the Holikme Twin Door Draft Stopper Weather Stripping Window Breeze Blocker Adjustable Door Sweeps, and let me tell you, it's a real game-changer. I used to have to deal with all sorts of pesky drafts and chilly breezes sneaking into my home, but now, thanks to this product, my house is as snug as a bug in a rug.

I’m not sure how it actually fastens around the door but it fits so snug to the floor, it doesn’t need to be fastened for me! It’s slightly long but has zero affect on the door closing or opening because the pieces inside are slightly shorter than the case so it’s just martial.

Styrofoam pieces in separate cylinders that you slip inside the black case. The material seems durable and proper for the job too. I just put it on my apartment door so the heat won’t escape into the cold hall and the cold air from the hall won’t come in. Now, to find something as easy, durable and perfect fit for my windows as this was!

If I had roommates or family members, I’d consider buying more because since I placed this, I barely hear anyone in the hall!! And you can usually hear everything going on in the hall.
