The problem is that I forget what shoes I have in them, and forget to rotate them into my day to day wardrobe. Kinda like "out of sight out of mind". I bought these to have a way to keep the shoes visible, but still neatly tucked away.In terms of quality, these are sturdy and easy to put together. And they held up well moving them from place to place as I tried to figure out where in my bedroom I would stack them.I also like that I can opt to put the boxes with shoes that are out of season away in the closet, and then pull them out when the season changes.I'm pleased with the product.

I recently reorganized and rebuilt my closet to make it work for me, and this was a huge part of it. I wear a women 10/mens 8, all of my shoes are of the converse or regular running shoe variety except one pair of hiking boots so high tops would have to be laid on their side. They may seem "flimsy" but I'm impressed with the design. Once you get one of them together (watch one of the videos, fold the tabs inward, should be no forcing involved - and make sure you alternate the feet/tabs so they interlock) it's so easy.. and they are really sturdy because all of the weight is being held by the plastic frames. I have 3 sets of these and you can stack all 12 in one column but due to how my closet is I have them divided in half by a shelf. I never see or touch the "flimsy" plastic sides. The doors are a little wibbly but I'm not an animal. The weight rests on the frames anyhow. My shoes are so much neater and it was hard to find a solution that worked when everyone on the internet says "get rid of some shoes" Ha! These are one of the cheapest options on amazon and I knew I wanted a lot of them, so I gave it a shot, and went back for more the same day. I can get 2-3 pairs of sandals in one box, and 2 pairs of low top converse type sneakers in one box. I could probably force some others, like one pair of reebok classics is actually in a box with a pair of converse but I generally don't want to crowd them like that. I had zero problems with my boxes missing items or having broken plastic. I am very happy with my purchase. There were a few left over that didn't fit in the space and they are perfect for other small items you need access to, I have one with gloves and hats, one with my upstairs tools, the other is empty as of this writing.

Pretty flimsy. Even after I built a few of them and stacked them on top of each other, they kept falling apart when I tried to open the doors. I ended up securing them with packing tape. They’re fine as organizers on my existing bookshelf, but don’t think they’d work well if they were freestanding due to the flimsiness.

They also took me a long time to put together because the floppy pieces didn’t want to go into the grooves of the hard pieces.

I gave it 4 stars because I wish they were a tad smaller. They do take up more room than my shoe boxes. I had to double up some shoes into one box. They are sturdy once they are put together and the latch closure is good, too. I plan to order another set.
