Seems it would have been a better design to make both sides steady on and flashing and include a red snap on filter instead. It does come with a charger cord but no place to store it. For the lights size seams it would have been an easy include.

I love this light!!!! I had a spotlight that I bought maybe five years ago. It was rechargeable and it worked very well. Recently, the battery showed signs that it had reached the end of its life. I was looking for something similar to replace it when I found this one. The reviews were good, so even though it was a no name product, I decided to give it a chance. I like to use it at night in my backyard because there are lots of cool things to see at night. We have lots of different spiders, toads, frogs, scorpions and many types insects. I also use it to keep an eye on the dogs when it is dark to make sure they don't get into anything.

My old spotlight was not LED. It would get very hot and I could not have it on for very long because of that and because the battery drained pretty fast. Obviously, since this is LED, that is not a problem. I have only charged it once so far. I have used it quite a bit, even for extended periods, and it still shows four blue dots which is maximum charge. It charges using USB, which is so convenient. I also don't have to worry about misplacing a proprietary charger as I have done with many other things.

One this that surprised me was that this is so lightweight. I mean it feels like nothing. I also like the versatility. You can use it as a spotlight but it also has a white and a red light on the sides. The bottom is flat, so it sits upright with no problem. My last light had a handle that prevented it from being set upright. the white side light has two levels of brightness, and I use it when I need ambient light.

The spotlight is very bright. I can shine it up into tall trees and it seems as bright as when I use it closer up. This is an extremely useful multi-function spotlight that works very well. I am very impressed.

This appears to be a common design marketed under several different distributors/brand names. I was able to grab one during a lightning deal at a reasonable price.

Main function - Spotlight [5/5]. Modes: Bright and medium bright. Brightness intensity is really good, very bright and tight beam. Also, the two light levels are controlled by a rocker switch, excellent as you know immediately what the power level is. In comparison, flashlights & tactical lights you typically have to click a button multiple times to cycle through light modes, not so with this lantern.

Secondary function - White LED panel [5/5]. Use - for area lighting. Two modes, bright and low. Very useful.

Secondary function - Red LED panel [2/5]. Use - emergency beacon. Flashes on/off. Signaling emergency such as a stranded situation/warning. The red LED panel would be far more useful if there were a steady on mode as well as the flashing mode. A low output red LED light source is useful for reading/viewing during nighttime when you don't want a bright white LED. Of course since it only flashes, the use is very limited.

Secondary function - Charging port [3.5/5]. It's got a 3800 mAh of battery power that operates all the light modes, and in addition, can be a source of re-charge for your electronic device via the single standard USB port. The good - it's a standard USB so it's easy to charge your device no matter the type. The not so good - you've got to have a USB to USB cord (included) to charge the lantern itself. USB/USB is not nearly as common as a USB/micro or USB/c type cord (which I have laying around by the dozen.). You'd be out of luck recharging the lantern if you lost or forgot to bring along the USB/USB cable.

Ergonomics/General [4/5] - It's large full-sized lantern but far lighter than you'd expect especially if your used to the old 6V style lanterns. Handle is nice plenty of room to grip with a gloved hand, there are little feet on the bottom of the unit, and it's water resistant, I've left it out in the rain. Buttons are all large, operation is common sense. The main beam is fixed and cannot be adjusted for wide/focus. Four bright blue LEDs on rear indicate charge capacity remaining. There are four blue LEDs that indicate charge remaining. I've subtracted a star as this meter isn't very accurate. What usually happens is that it stays at 3 or 4 LEDs for 90% of the remaining life and then suddenly goes dead. Similarly when recharging it, it will jump 1, 2, 3 LEDs, then recharge the 4th LED for most of the charge cycle.

Aside from the quirks and oddities, and the suggested improvements/changes, I'd buy this item again. Rechargeable is the way to go and it hits the mark with it's spotlight main function being super bright and the addition of a side white LED area light panel, a very useful secondary. I'd even pay a bit more for the same item if it packed a larger battery capacity, but improve the power remaining meter, please.

Er ist leicht, hell und hat mit seiner Warnblink-Funktion einen guten Platz im Auto verdient. Kleinarbeiten am Auto ohne Probleme. Ich nenne es mal 4 Wände Licht. Wenn ich den Strahler mit dem Nebenlicht im geschlossenen dunklen Raum aufstelle, dann reicht dass Licht allemale sich bei einem Stromausfall zurecht zu finden. Der Hauptstrahler hat jetzt nicht unbedingt den Lichtkegel den ich mir für einen Strahler vorstelle, ABER ich kann einen Bereich von etwa 10 Meter in der Länge aus einer Enfernung von 150-200 Meter ausleuchten.
Zum Vergleich habe ich mir in einem Discounter und auch aus Amazon jeweils eine hochwertige Taschenlampe und eine eher billigere Taschenlampe gekauft. Der Strahler kann mit der billigeren mithalten und stattdessen hat mich die hochwertige von einem Namenhaften Hersteller vergleichsweise etwas enttäuscht. Ich kann diesen Strahler echt empfehlen. Wenn man nachts Licht benötigt dann hat man diesen auch. Man kann auch sein Handy damit laden, aber dass ist nebensächlich, brauche den Akku für die Lampe und für nichts anderes. Aber haben anstatt nicht haben.. Es wird gesprochen über billige Qualität, kann ich nicht bestätigen, für diesen Preis hab ich ein Super Produkt welches wunderbar funktioniert. Es ist sehr leicht weshalb einige der Meinung sind schwer = Wertig
Der Strahler macht einfach einen guten Eindruck und ist seinem Preis Wert.
Zur Kostenfrage im Verhältnis:
Billige Taschenlampe vom Euroshop 4,99€ super Ausleuchtung
Eine etwas teuere Taschenlampe 69€ Handhabe etwas komisch Ausleuchtung nicht sehr zufrieden stellend
Und der Strahler 46 Euro aber ein Allrounder mit super Entfernung der Beleuchtung
