Product Description

The FUNtainer® 12oz Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Straw keeps drinks cold for up to 12 hours. Our kids water bottles are built so their drinks are as cool on the inside as they look on the outside. Kids stay hydrated and parents stay happy. The double wall stainless steel construction is built to handle drops, dings and assorted roughhousing. Includes an integrated carry handle with soft-touch grip, making it easy for kids to carry with them throughout the day. Help keep germs away with the hygienically covered silicone straw which is removable for easy cleaning. To clean, you can pop your FUNtainer water bottle in the dishwasher; however hand washing is recommended. Not for use with hot liquids.

We’ve been using funtainers since my kids started school. They hold up super well despite drops, they don’t leak, and they’re easy for young kids to open and close. I’ve had the same ones for years, I just occasionally buy new straw replacements for them. One tip- Mine were leaking for the longest time and I couldn’t figure out why. Make sure when assembling you pull the straw (that you drink out of) up really hard. It will kind of pop. That stopped it.

Got 2 of these- one for my 2.5 yo and one for my 10 month old. They both use them with ease! The bottles keep water cold for long periods of time, the straw is very easy to get water out of, holds up in the dishwasher, and also holds up to being dropped repeatedly (accidentally because, toddlers LOL). Way better than some other stainless steel bottles we have. My toddler nephews have this same type (but they have the fun printed ones) and they also love them. Can’t wait to use them at the zoo and Disney World. Highly recommend.

I love how easy this I’d to clean and it’s durable. This is our 3rd funtainer and we went straight to this cup for my now 9month old instead of soppy cups or weighted straws. I don’t have to worry about hidden mold in this because it’s so easy to clean unlike a weighted straw cup. It was also incredibly easy for my son to figure it out. We handed it to him and let him play with it for a few minutes, less than 15 minutes later he’d already figured it out. It’s light enough he can hold it himself to get a drink.

This is one of three "straw cups" we use in regular rotation with my kid. The straw is easy for my 1.5 year old to drink from (diameter is not too thick or too skinny, and there is no cross section or bite valve that restricts water flow). I like that the straw mouthpiece is soft, flexible, and doesn't protrude too far from the lid, and that part can get pushed out of the lid and the straw detached for relatively easy cleaning. The mouthpiece does have an angle in that can be a bit tricky to get clean, and if your kiddo gets any food or dirt into the lock on the lid there isn't an easy way to clean it out. There is also a small air vent hole that allows a considerable amount of water to leak out if put down on its side without the lid secured (or if your toddler purposely holds it upside down). With the lid secured it is leakproof.

I prefer silicone, stainless steel, or glass for my toddler for health reasons purchased this because the bottle is stainless but the length of the straw itself is an unknown hard plastic (not silicone like I thought it would be, so I was a bit bummed by that). The mouthpiece is silicone and a good firmness - not too hard or soft. The bottle is durable and withstands constant drops from my toddler but it is quite heavy, even completely empty, so toes and dogs cleaning up dropped food under high chairs be warned. My kiddo has managed to pinch his fingers in the handle a few times - the handle is small and swivels freely on top, so sometimes it squishes a finger or gets in the way of accessing the mouthpiece. My kid has no trouble holding it, carrying it, or bringing it to his mouth to drink and has learned how to push the lock open and shut the lid on his own. Overall I think the design is pretty good, but due to the weight and size it is probably more appropriate for older toddlers (2+) than younger or smaller ones. The 12 oz size is quite versatile - it's small enough that it's not obscenely large to use for a one year old and fits well in a diaper bag without taking a ton of space, but holds ample water for a morning or afternoon out and can grow with your child for some time.

I'm still on the lookout for the perfect straw cup, but this is close to the best I have found and the price is reasonable so we ordered a second. My first one came with name labels inside making it great for daycare or group playdates but the second one didn't.

He loves drinking out of it and I love that it's stainless rather than plastic. It's easy to hand wash: I just let it soak a few minutes in warm soapy water, give a quick scrub and rinse. It's dishwasher safe but the straw parts probably won't get fully cleaned in a dishwasher.
