I’ve been a Phillips Sonicare user for close to a decade. I switched from a regular toothbrush and never looked back. But I always felt I was missing out on getting truly clean. Oral B was always on my mind but never what I bought. It took two things for me to switch, Phillips’s bad customer service and my dentist mentioning my back molars are hard to reach because they grew out wrong. They suggested Oral B because it would be able to reach where the larger Sonicare heads couldn’t. So when my handle battery started giving out I knew it was time to switch. The switch was WORTH IT. It’s my perfect brush. The oscillating is so much better than the vibrating. The handle is large and comfortable. The heads are quite nice and do an excellent job at cleaning at any setting. The charger is nice and the case being included for travel, nice touch. I’m mostly impressed with the singular smart feature, a pressure sensor that lights green, white and red. I do not want my toothbrush to be dependent on Bluetooth or WiFi. I don’t want an app, but this, this is perfect! It’s just a visual cue on whether or not you’re brushing hard enough or too hard. That really sold me. Bear in mind, you do need to take some care to get the longest life out of these German made beauties. Mostly just rinse the head and handle after every brushing. That’s why the head removes so easily, it’s detailed in the manual. Follow that, and you’ll avoid the nasty buildup that can happen with these style brushes. If you’re on the fence, give it a shot. It’s been a game changer for me.

I’ve had a few Oral-B electric toothbrushes over the years. They are always great. I usually buy the budget models. And I have had lots of luck with them as far as reliability.

I wanted to try the io series when it launched, but I couldn’t see the point in spending so much$. The budget ones keep my teeth clean just fine.

Well I finally got my chance. The battery in my 5000 series weakened so I could justify replacing it.

I read some reviews and the io series 3 seemed to be great - I don’t need more than it offers. I don’t want Bluetooth or anything. And it was only $99. More than I’d usually want to spend… but I’m willing to splurge for super clean teeth.

I’m really glad I bought this. It is way better than the budget old school ones like my 5000 series. The brush spins better, it is quiet in comparison, the battery lasts a really long time, and it gets my teeth squeaky clean.

I love the light that tells me if I’m brushing too hard. It is easy to get used to. And when you complete a full brushing - it does a little rainbow light show to celebrate your accomplishment. Fun.

The brush heads are easy to rinse and the unit came with a little stand to stick the brush heads too while they are drying. Always wash your electric toothbrush heads after use and store them separate from the unit to dry - or they get skunky, funky and gunky. It’s a little extra work compared to just rinsing off a manual toothbrush. But hygiene is important.

I want to buy one of these Oral B io3 toothbrushes for everybody I know.

It's so quiet, yet there is this intensity driving the brush head revolutions ... it's like power washing your teeth, yet soothing at the same time as it hums and glosses over them, destroying the plaque. I love this brush, it's so worth the money. As a longtime user of other electric Oral B brushes, this one is the best by far. The larger brushhead, too, is tremendously effective. I could not think of a better toothbrush. My dentist is going to be so proud of me, but perhaps mad, since there will be nothing for her to work on.

I got this yesterday, not my first Oral B electric toothbrush but the first with different speeds (modes). It's got good power and my teeth feel really clean after brushing. However, there is no indicator to tell me what mode I'm using, the speeds all feel the same to me, which is why I gave it 4 stars. I have had less expensive electric toothbrushes that had the modes clearly written on the handle. I like the larger round brush head and that this came with a carry case and an extra brush head. But Oral b can do better labeling so that customers don't have to guess (or hope) they're using the correct mode when brushing.
