My wife asked me to buy new small and large frying pans. I looked on Amazon and found that the TeChef 8" and 11" frying pans seemed to get good reviews so I added them to my Amazon shopping cart. I also noticed this TeChef 11" wok / stir fry pan which looked really neat. We stir-fry quite often so I decided to buy this as well, even though I wasn't originally looking for a stir-fry pan. I also bought the 11" glass lid.
I can say that this is an absolutely excellent pan. It works very well on our induction cooktop, something I was concerned about, as I've purchased pans before that I thought were induction-compatible but it turned out that actually they weren't. Well this for sure works well on induction. The depth is good for stir frys and curry and the like. I cooked a curry in it last night which was the first time I've used it and it worked very nicely. The whole thing looks very high quality, the internal patterning looks good and the exterior color is attractive. As I mentioned I also bought the TeChef 11" glass lid. The lid is really nice, the glass is sort of smoked and there's a vent for steam which comes out through the middle of the lid under the handle. I've not seen that before. Now I expected that the lid would work with both the 11" wok / stir fry and also the 11" TeChef frying pan. Eleven inches is eleven inches, right? Wrong! The lid fits perfectly on this wok / stir fry but does not fit the 11" TeChef frying pan properly. You can sort of balance it on there, but it never seals properly nor feels completely secure on the 11" frying pan. Clearly the lid is only intended for the 11" wok / stir fry. I'm OK with that but sort of expected it to fit both.
I can't recommend this pan highly enough. What you're getting is an absolutely top quality product at a mid-level price. No it's not the cheapest around, but the price is extremely reasonable for what you're getting. I think you'd have to pay a lot more, maybe several times more to get anything better. I would recommend buying the 11" glass lid for it as well, it really completes the set. I haven't actually used the 8" and 11" frying pans yet but they look just as high quality and I have proven that they work on induction. Recommended.

Not quite up to the top reviewers hype but still seems well designed.
So I bought this pan after reading some of the great reviews, specifically the one that stated it was non-stick for an egg when heated, and lasted that way for months. How awesome would that be?!Unrealistically awesome, that's how awesome.I picked up this pan today, since the seller required a signature without asking me, and I had to stop by a UPS Access Point to pick it up. Annoying but not heartbreaking.After opening it up, everything looked fine, I gave it a nice warm soapy clean then rinsed and dried. Next, I went grabbed an egg, cracked it, then turned the heat to about medium low.It took the pan several minutes to finally get heat to the egg, and when it finally did, the egg definitely did not move or slide around. In fact, it stuck everywhere on the pan, not one of the points on the pan that the egg touched did it come off clean. Now, I didn't use any oil, because the other reviewer specifically stated they didn't.Well, I either received a faulty pan or that reviewer exaggerated. I've attached a video of the egg after being warmed up. You can clearly see the egg is still whitening up in the video, so you know about where it is in the cooking process. Then you clearly see that it is not moving when I turn the pan nearly 90 degrees to its side and nothing moves, except for the yolk jiggling a little.Now to credit the pan, the lids handle is a stand, neat, points for that. When I "scraped" the stuck egg with my silicone spatula, it did come off after a bit of back and forth (wasn't stuck badly).With a little oil, I imagine it could be a pretty good pan, and the seller doesn't advertise this misleading "no stick at all" feature, so overall I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 on day 1, 12/15/2020.I may update overtime if I encounter any significant detriments I experience or if it works much better with a little oil, but it seems to be an overall thoughtfully designed pan.Edit 12/17/2020.I used some spray olive oil on the pan and cooked up several eggs, nothing stuck on the pan anywhere. I've also cooked up some hash browns with vegetables with some oil sprayed on the pan. Again, no sticking or any other issues, nice browning on the food. Overall, a realistic but good pan. Cleaning is simple due to the design, no complaints.

This pan/wok heats up to cooking temperature relatively faster compared to other T-fal non-stick pans we own. The inner cooking surface does a good job in keeping cooking oil from immediately running to the outer perimeters. The handle is sturdy. The size and weight work well with our radiant electric glass cooktop.
The Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA) free non-stick coating is one of the deciding factors when we purchased this pan because of PFOA's potential health concerns.
2 complaints about this pan:
There is non-stick coating applied to the top rim of the pan - which is not necessary, as no one cooks on the rim. The coating on the top rim has started to peel off (see picture) after about a month of weekly use. We own other non-stick pans made by T-fal and those pans do not have a non-stick coating on the rims (therefore, no issues with coatings peeling off with those pans).
We also experienced the crackle/popping sound with this TeChef pan mentioned by other reviewers. This crackle/popping sound only occurs after cooking when the pan is cooling off (for about 2-3 minutes). We have not noticed this occurring, however, in the last week or so (we've been using this wok for about 2 months now).
