    A good father-son project
    5 Stars
    A good father-son project
My son and I did this as a father-son project. As a father-son project, it was wildly successful, and hence my rating of five stars. And we were immensely helped by my completely adorable grand-daughter (3), who was so enamored with our workmanship that she was testing the slide while it was lying flat on the ground. Both my son and I are handy, so this project was well within our grasp. We allocated two days to complete the project. Unfortunately for us, the weather had other ideas and much of the construction was done in the garage to keep out of the pouring rain. Although we finished about 95% of the work, we didn't finish before I had to leave for home because the weather was so bad. Before we started, we spent a couple of hours laying out all the wood in alphabetical order and relabelling all the bags of screws and bolts clearly. Everything was there and nothing was broken. All of this boring inventory made the instructions much easier to follow. When all was said and done, the only mistake we made was reversing one wall, which we caught early and didn't cost us much time.If you don't do the inventory and relabelling, I don't think the instructions do you any favors. Even though there were obviously two of us, we often found large clamps to be useful, especially in assembling the slide. And I appreciated using cedar in the playset construction: despite its splinter potential, it's a great wood. Both my son and I were happy with the finished product.

My father-in-law and I built this on a Saturday. Took us about 6 hours to set up start to finish. I unpacked everything the night before and laid out each piece with the stamped part# easily noticable on a tarp. The next morning we just started at the beginning of the manual. Since we plan to have this set for as long as possible we wanted to make sure we followed the instructions meticulously. For each set of instructions I would lay out the wooden pieces needed and gather the fasteners only needed for for that section and leave fasteners in there bags for the next set of instructions. I would recommend two 1/8 cordless drills for the 2 people doing the build (we had to share which slowed us down). The end result was a very happy daughter. Be sure to stake this down as multiple swingers could cause flexing.
*Customer Service* - One of the eye-bolts that suspends the swing chain came unthreaded and we were unable to install it. I also cracked one of the ladder legs during install even though I pre-drilled before running the lag-screw (I suggest PRE-DRILLING EVERYTHING with 1/8 bit to prevent cracking). I called C.S. and they were very pleasant and are shipping out a replacement for the defective bolt and the ladder piece I cracked at no charge. I would recommend this for someone who has multiple kids or an only child with friends, they will love it!

My daughter loves this swing set. It has a little bit of everything giving her a lot of opportunity to use her imagination. The set delivered Thursday and I ( a woman) had it assembled and functional by the end of the day Friday thanks to the BILT app. That app is amazing. I totally recommend it. It made assembly very easy. The wood is thinner than I expected it to be. I pray it holds up to the wear and tear a 6yr old and her friends will inflict on it. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied.

This could be a one mans team to assemble. My husband basically did it by himself in 11-12 hours. With minimal help from my dad who was hurt at the time. My husband said that the wood and screws were not great. The screws kept stripping out and the wood kept splitting. He is a construction worker so it’s not like he doesn’t know how to use material. If you live where there is high winds like we do, It’s pretty sturdy as long as you Anchor it down! 2 swings come with it and a pull up bar. We exchanged one of the swings out for a baby swing. Easy to change out swings. A bench does come but we haven’t put that together yet. There is a ladder On back side and a climbing ladder on side. The little part underneath club house, you could fill with sand or put a board up so you don’t have to weed whip in there. We have a smaller version of this swing set at another house and it’s held up for 2 years and still going. I would recommend.

I felt compelled to write a review after seeing the negative reviews. I bought this in 2016 and in 2021 it's still going strong. The canopy did rip while in transport (we have move with it 3x times since 2016). It took my husband an afternoon on his own to put it together. He is pretty handy, but by no means a handyman. We have replaced some hardware over the years due to stripping and we plan to buy a new canopy because the swing set still has life in her. You do get what you pay for and at $650 for a swing set I've had for 5 years, I'd say it was totally worth the investment. My kid and nephews are ages 8 and under and play on this thing all summer long. By the time we are done with this swing set, I'm sure it will be because our daughter has grown too big for it.

0926-0928 First look: we've been sorting and inspecting all the wood parts we received over the weekend. Even thought about assemble, I've checked with my husband and it will definitely take more than 2 days for 2 experienced person with great patience and care. If you are not good at this, hire some one to do it.

There were quite a few wood parts that are chipped or seriously cracked. I assume we would experience more during assembly even though they are pre-drilled. The other reviews are right, it is very light, un-treated wood that cracks easily. But their customer service is good, we had about 10 cracked parts and called for replacement. Everything was smooth, and we are waiting for the replacements to be shipped. The good thing is they cover 5 years for the wood parts. So I decided to give it a try.

to sum up: received with about 10 damaged parts, good customer service. But definitely not for bigger kids. I would say age 2 to 5 weight less than 50 lbs. If you put an 8 year old on, or more than 3 kids, this may seriously fall apart.

I will continue to update once we complete the assembly.

OCT 2020: We got the parts really fast, and put the set together, then did outdoor treatment. It looks better than expected. We purchased additional net swing attachments and definitely upgrade it to a better swing set. My kid and my dog love it.

This is the most PIECE OF CRAP from beginning to end! The shipping company wouldn't even deliver to my house because the box broke apart everywhere in the warehouse. Pieces fell out everywhere. We had to go pick it up. Finally get it out of the warehouse and the wood is so dried out it was cracking when putting hardware in... and then the hardware started snapping!! TOTAL GARBAGE!!! Predrilled holes don't even line up a lot of the time. I would give it a ZERO rating if it was possible. For over $1000 I feel completely ripped right off! DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!!!

We have been using the climber for the past 8 months. It has survived its first winter with no visible damage. Children enjoy the slide and swings best as well as hanging out in the clubhouse. Bottom window great for playing ice cream shop. This has grown with our children. Purchased baby swing and moved up to child swing. Good quality and value. Used daily and enjoyed by all little visitors.
