This device has a tapered barrel measuring 3/4 inches at its smallest and 1 1/4 inches at its largest which adds versatility to hair styles depending on how it is used. With this design there is no clamp to hold hair so if unfamiliar with its usage there is a learning curve but then it becomes rote. The process does require a bit of practice and may not suit all users. Since using devices with a clamp can leave a ridge in hair I prefer this style. The company video posted on the product page is helpful if new to this method.A somewhat small heat resistant (not heat proof) glove is included and in my experience is helpful to use during the learning period. The barrel has a tourmaline and ceramic surface so hair glides smoothly and this also helps eliminate frizz. My below shoulder length hair has some natural curl/wave and the iron is working as I hoped it would—creating a more consistent look and adding shine and bounce.There are 5 heat settings and the selection is by a small LED glowing light ranging from one to five. The corresponding temperatures are 260, 300, 350, 390 and 410 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat selection mechanism design is interesting—gently twist base until the number of desired lights are illuminated and they blink until selected heat level is reached which is quick.The benefit of this design is that nothing is raised on the handle so while styling hair heat levels are not inadvertently changed by accidentally pressing on a button or switch—which is common with some curling irons. There is no temperature window display or timer so if unfamiliar with curling irons in general, proceed slowly to avoid damaging hair. The included User Guide suggests starting on the lowest setting.The cord has a 9 foot length and the swivel feature helps eliminate tangling and twisting the cable while styling hair. The User Guide states an extension cord should not be used. A hook and loop (Velcro) cable control is attached to keep the cable neatly contained when not in use.The built-in stand allows it to be safely placed on a counter or other surface during styling or as it cools down. The automatic shut-off feature turns-off the device after an hour. The unit has auto world voltage and the manual contains specific details on this and normal usage. The device is operating well and provides a consistent positive result.

I can dig it. This curling wand is so easy to use.....which is super important to me because I've always used my straightener to get waves, never a curling iron or curling wand, so this is the first time I've ever personally invested in one and im happy with it. It's sleek and stylish and I love the white and rosegold. I debated between this and ghd and I think I made the right choice. This takes a little bit to heat up, im used to full heat in under 30 seconds with my styling tools but this takes a little longer than that. The end of this, the tip, gets hot but not overly so. Not that im holding the tip when I use it but I did check it.
My 2 girls have been playing around with this too, its that easy to use.
This IS an investment, so luckily its one that im happy with. It comes with a warranty which I *think* is good for a year (but don't quote me I need to double check) directly through T3.

I bought this curling wand since I like to have the perfect curls for special events. I recently used the wand to curl my hair for a wedding and I was very happy with the results. I had to curl it early in the morning and the wedding wasn’t until late afternoon. The curl really held well. I did use a texturizing spray before curling which I think helped. They do provide you with the glove to wear and I recommend it since I burned my hand several times using it. I’m happy work through results of this wand.

I really did a lot of research prior to purchasing this wand. I'm not a fussy type but I dont want to ruin my hair by using crappy anything either. It was worth the price. It heats up quickly and sits nicely and securely while I use it in a fairly narrow space. Just my 2 cents. You need to be aware of how close you are to yourself. I'm fairly used to using wands so it's not really an issue for me. But they provide a mitt if you need it.
... I probably use this 2-3xs a week for the past 4 months. I I feel like my hair is not experiencing the type of breakage that typically occurs when using a wand. I do baby my hair though. I feel like I can recommend this wand. No problems.
