What should I look for in a sunscreen for sensitive skin?

For sensitive skin, dermatologists often recommended looking for mineral sunscreens that contain either zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide. All Anthelios sunscreens are tested on sensitive skin. All formulated and tested for optimal skin tolerance.

What’s the difference between a chemical (organic) and mineral (physical) sunscreen?

Mineral sunscreens contain mineral ingredients like zinc oxide & titanium dioxide sit on the top layer of skin & reflect and scatter UV rays. Chemical sunscreens contain organic compounds like octocrylene & avobenzone absorb UV rays on the skin.

What are the advantages and disadvantages to chemical vs mineral sunscreens?

Mineral sunscreens work as soon as you apply onto skin, but because they sit directly on the skin may rub or sweat off more easily than chemical sunscreens that take at least 15min to properly absorb, meaning skin may not be immediately protected.

This SPF is sooooo lightweight, and it really is a serum (see video for consistency/texture). It melts into your skin just like a regular serum, absorbs quickly, and has a soft finish. It’s not particularly matte or shiny. It has a pump top (see photo), so you can control how much comes out. I bought this because I didn’t like wearing regular SPF moisturizes while exercising outside, but I need high sun protection. I love how lightweight this is, and it doesn’t feel gross when I sweat. I have very sensitive skin, and this has not caused ANY irritation or break-outs. I also recommend using this as a first layer under makeup. It’s moisturizing but not creamy or oily. I normally wouldn’t spend this kind of money on a SPF, but it really is worth the money. I love skin care products, and this one is actually unique!

I'd like to preface this with my skin is just as sensitive as my sense of smell is. I absolutely love this brand for both of those reasons first and foremost. I used the tinted moisturizer for a little over a year now and have finally committed to adding other products into my regimen. I love how hydrating it its without being oily or "zinc" like. When I purchased it, I didnt realize it was primer, but THRILLED with how smooth it looks whether or not I wear makeup. If I do use foundation, It's definitely not cheap so I use it sparingly, however the quality is amazing and you get so much more than UV protection... you reverse aging when you use it and that's a benefit for everyone!

I have finally found a sunscreen that doesn’t cause an itchy, red rash on my face! If you suffer from the same sunblock issues, give this a try. I have had NO reactions to this sunscreen.
